Upcoming Webinar: Mining and Climate Change: Preventing Socio-economic Impacts in a Fast-changing World

While mineral resources remain necessary to support economic development and achieve the SDGs, we need to acknowledge how climate change exacerbates the existing mining-related risks and impacts on peoples and the environment.

As the impact of climate change intensifies, it has become more and more urgent for realising the Paris Climate Agreement, the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and promoting the energy transition. All sectors need to take effective actions. Action is required also by mining companies, investors, lenders, regulators, etc. to achieve responsible mining practices.
