Case Study: How can multi-stakeholder working groups help companies address security and human rights challenges?

Description

In June 2022, the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Geneva Centre for Business and Human Rights (GCBHR) will release a new edition of the Toolkit on Addressing Security and Human Rights Challenges in Complex Environments. This case study explains what a multi-stakeholder working group is and how these groups can work alongside companies to prevent, mitigate and address security challenges. It describes how the South Kivu Working Group responded to human rights abuses linked to the mining police.
