As the product of a multi-year project implemented by the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) and the Alliance for Responsible Mining, the Tool was developed with consultations, input and feedbackfrom ASM organizations and mutlistakeholder dialogue groups on mining in Antioquia, Colombia. The Guidance also highlights the linkages between the OECD Due Dillgience Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
